Today, our organization dedicates its efforts to six crucial areas of intervention within single parents' groups: education, health, livelihoods, environment, social justice, and water. By addressing these key facets, we aim to create a lasting impact on the lives of single parents, fostering growth and resilience in the face of adversity.

OUR COMMUNITY PROJECTS

EDUCATION

The program targets the education gap, especially in single-parent families, emphasizing the benefits of educating girls for societal well-being. Janet actively contributes to these efforts, participating in public forums as part of ECODS' initiatives.

WATER AND SANITATION

Lake communities rely on the lake for water but face health risks from contamination, including waterborne diseases and mosquito breeding. Miranga Primary School's Roof Catchment program tackles these challenges.

ENVIRONMENTAL PROGRAMME

ECODS marks World Environment Day with a Kisumu mobile app launch, targeting community-based plastic waste management for urgent environmental conservation. The innovative platform aims to combat plastic pollution effectively.

ORPHAN FEEDING PROGRAM

We believe that no child should go to bed hungry. Our mission is to provide nourishment and support to orphans in need, ensuring they have access to nutritious meals and a brighter future.
